NEW! Voluntary Benefits
Effective January 1, Chugach is pleased to offer pre-tax voluntary supplemental insurance options to fill financial gaps that medical plans don’t cover. These plans pay out lump-sum cash benefits directly to you if you suffer a covered accident, injury, or hospitalization. There are no gatekeeper or network limits as these coverages operate independently of your health insurance. Premiums are 100% paid by the employee and are deducted each payroll.
Accident Insurance
Accidents can happen anytime. This coverage can help offset the impact of a covered accident by paying a set amount for emergency room care, dislocations, fractures, burns, hospital admissions, and even accidental death.
Critical Illness Insurance
If you or a covered family member are diagnosed with a serious illness, including one of dozens of covered conditions such as stroke or cancer, you would receive a cash benefit to use however you wish: medical expenses, rent or mortgage, childcare or tuition, or even travel expenses.
Hospital Indemnity
This benefit pays scheduled cash amounts for hospital admission, daily in-patient stays, intensive care admissions, and there is even a benefit for receiving annual health screenings.
